Emergency Fund for Zimbabwe
By taking part in the Big Give’s ‘Double Your Donation’ initiative in December 2009 we raised a further £20,000 for our Emergency Fund for Zimbabwe. Thank you so much to everyone who donated to this special appeal.
All funds raised from this appeal will help prisoners of conscience in Zimbabwe and political refugees from Zimbabwe who are now in exile in the UK. Last year, an award-winning Getty Images photographer travelled incognito to Zimbabwe to document some of the prisoners of conscience and their families we have been helping. The level of violence he witnessed is heartbreaking.
